About Bob Cardenas:
Visionaries have often made Key West their home port. Some of their family names can be traced to Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas, and have included adventurers with a keen eye toward opportunity as well as the spectacular sunsets!
Bob Cardenas is the General Manager for Sunset Key Development, and Real Estate Broker, located in the sales office for this unique, one of a kind luxury home development. The Cardenas name has long been well-known in Key West. His family has been in Key West for over 35 years, and have long established businesses and homes. Bob's wife, Debbie, is descended from some of the earliest settlers of the Keys, migrating from Green Turtle Cay in the early 19th century.
A graduate of FSU with a degree in Marine Biology, and a love for the water, Bob is also an avid sailor and fisherman who has accomplished two trans-Atlantic sailboat crossings, and many other adventures. As an experienced navigator, he is in charge of setting the course for Sunset Key Island - a course that includes an energetic outreach program to other Real Estate Brokers, both international and domestic.
With more than 31 years experience as a Real Estate Broker in Central and South Florida, Bob has also earned the real estate equivalent of a PhD: the title of CCIM, placing him among the top ranking Real Estate Brokers in North America. In addition, he earned the coveted Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation for his success marketing homes in the upper tier price range. His success and strong business ethics have combined to establish him as one of the most outstanding realtors in all of Key West.
