Using only top-quality spa products, our skilled therapists provide a variety of treatments that promote relaxation and mental, physical and spiritual well-being. We seek to uplift guests by engaging and stimulating each of the five senses.

Tucked away in this 27-acre island’s lush surroundings, the elegant spa treatment suites are adorned with tropical flowers and feature French doors that lead to private patios where guests can relax after treatments. Every appointment includes an additional 25 minutes dedicated to personal relaxation time. A full bathroom in each suite, pre-stocked with sundries, allows spa guests to prepare for treatments and wash up or shower afterward in complete privacy.

Spa guests can choose from a full menu of renewing and energizing facials, wraps, massages and other body treatments.

Facials

The facials offered at Sunset Key are multi-faceted, using specific massage techniques, hydrating rose products and exfoliating plant extracts. The health benefits are extraordinary and include combating aging skin; lifting, plumping, tightening and enhancing both skin and the underlying muscle tone; moisturizing and nourishing damaged or dehydrated skin; and balancing and brightening acne-prone skin.

Scrubs and Wraps

Working the entire body from head to toe, scrubs and wraps help heal and revitalize the skin – and the spirit. In the Sugar Scrub, warm coconut milk and melting tropical sugar leave skin satiny, glowing and smooth. The Sun Burn Relief Wrap combines Dilo Nut, coconut milk and aloe and is high in vitamins A, C and E to help heal the skin. The Island Wrap deeply nourishes the skin with Fijian oils in a warm, cocooning body wrap.

Massages

Massages work the scalp, feet, neck, shoulders – any tense or sore areas of the body. The Warm Oil Scalp Massage releases tension and nourishes the hair and scalp by relieving dryness and improving hair’s texture. Pressure points on the feet, palms and ears are targeted in the Reflexology Massage, which reduces tension and fatigue and creates harmony and balance. The full-body Classic Swedish Massage uses Fijian oils and light-to-medium pressure to relieve tension and achieve relaxation. Hot stones are used in the Blissful Warm Massage, while essential oils and massage sequences targeting the nervous system are part of the Aromatherapy Massage. In the Custom Therapeutic Massage, various massage modalities are incorporated, according to the guest’s preferences.

NEW TREATMENT!

The Island Bamboo Massage symbolizes suppleness and resilience, straightforwardness and simplicity. The massage satisfies two major needs – relaxation and well-being. Bamboo massage is a technique that incorporates bamboo stalks of varying lengths and diameters to provide deep-tissue work, promoting circulation, sensory nerve perception and lymphatic drainage.

Post-treatment

At the conclusion of each treatment, guests may enjoy a glass of refreshing fruit-infused water while relaxing in the comfort of their spa suite or private patio. Guests may also enjoy the spa relaxation room, which offers comfortable seating and a Tea Bar featuring a selection of hot teas, fruit-infused waters and shots of hot sipping chocolate.

Spa Staff

This extensive spa menu is constantly being customized and improved by spa director Tracy McClellan and her staff. McClellan has many years of experience in the hospitality industry at prestigious organizations including the Spa at Mandarin Oriental and The Sports Club/LA in the Ritz-Carlton, both in Washington, D.C., and the Aira Spa at the Vail Cascade Resort and Omni Interlocken Resort Spa, both in Colorado.

Hours

The Spa at Sunset Key is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Young adults ages 12-17 may receive certain spa services when accompanied by an adult.
